My question is 'Who invented popcorn'. I picked this question/topic because i love popcorn, I find it interesting and nobody else seems to be doing popcorn.

Popcorn, the famous food snack is eaten world wide. But back in the past, way back when popcorn was first discovered, how was it eaten? and where was it eaten? These two questions will be answered in these two paragraphs.

The true origin of popcorn is unknown, but we have a lot of history about it. The history of popcorn is mainly American. The oldest popcorn found to this moment in time was found in new mexico deep inside a dry cave, known as the bat cave. Lots of small heads of corn were discovered several individual popped kernels. These were discovered by Herbert dick and Earle smith in 1948, their age is approximately 5,600 years old.

The ways people ate popcorn are not too different from how they eat them now. Popcorn was said to be eaten with milk and sugar like a breakfast cereal. People made popcorn at home and it also was sold at general stores, concession stand, carnivals, and circuses. A commercial popcorn machine was created in Chicago by Charles Cretors in 1885. The roaming popcorn vendors could be seen near the crowds especially outside of theatres. This coincidence invented the great tradition of popcorn being a famous movie snack.

Popcorn is a food with many great traditions, eating popcorn as a breakfast cereal sounds like a fun idea, as well as using it in fashion design etc. The way people eat popcorn and use popcorn has changed significantly through out the years.
